Over 100 former detainees in Guantanamo Bay have already been confirmed to have returned to terrorist activities and over 70 more are suspected of having done so. The President’s irresponsible plan jeopardizes the safety of American troops and the general public.
“This package is a good step forward to locking in conservative reforms that will help put this country back on the right track. It is important going into next year that the Senate do their job and pass critical appropriations bills on time,” added Rokita.
I have visited over 30 schools during the last few years where we discussed school safety. I have also studied school safety technology with the security industry and best practices with law enforcement. One of the things I learned is that those groups were not always talking with each other. Today’s event is meant to reverse that," said Rep. Rokita.
