Rokita: Senate Inability to Repeal and Replace is a Big Missed Opportunity

Expresses Disappointment, but Drive to Continue Repeal Efforts

Washington, D.C.—Congressman Todd Rokita released the following statement after the Senate’s failed attempt to repeal and replace Obamacare.

“The Senate’s inability to repeal and replace Obamacare last night is a big missed opportunity to begin putting the American healthcare system back together.  Hoosiers are tired of seeing their health care costs rise and their insurers leave the marketplace.  Unfortunately, too many in Washington are more concerned about what people in Washington think about ObamaCare than the human toll in Indiana and other states.  Those obstructing ObamaCare repeal have no interest in compromise just as they didn’t when they forced it on the American people with a party line vote.  They simply want to maintain ObamaCare. I am disappointed, but not disheartened because we will get rid of this legislation because that is what the American people demand."
