ROKITA ATTENDS PLAINFIELD HIGH SCHOOL THREAT FORUM
Washington, D.C. – On Tuesday, January 19, 2016, U.S. Representative Todd Rokita (IN-04) attended a forum organized in response to continued online threats against Plainfield High School. The forum was organized by parents, school officials, the community, and law enforcement from all levels of government to provide an update on the situation.
“Today’s meeting was an important discussion that allows us to continue communication between law enforcement and the Plainfield community. Parents are rightfully concerned because of these continued threats to the safety of the school and their children in Plainfield.
“I would like to thank everyone who worked to organize this event. Their dedicated efforts made the event a success.
“In November, I hosted a discussion on school safety and one of the critical notes was the importance of communication between all concerned parties. This forum is a great avenue for communication regarding this issue,” said Rokita.
The School Safety Report, compiled from November’s event, can be found here.
